Our Journey

The Love for Allah has stood beside me in every step of my life, and has assisted me to thrive through various difficulties. I am forever grateful to the Islamic Institutions that I was educated in for planting the seeds of Iman (faith) in my heart. Ever since the age of eleven, my Iman has grown to allow me to face any challenge with a smile on my face; this is what every child deserves.

In September 2016, I began teaching a group of five in my small garage which three years later grew to forty students, and an increasing waiting list. The best day of my life was when a student came sprinting excitedly to tell me, 'Madrassah is more fun than school!' and all those who overheard began explaining why.

The joy of her small sentence made me believe there was more to come.

Fast forward to September 2021:

Ar-Rahman Academy is an independent Islamic Educational Institution that provides Islamic Knowledge, Etiquettes, and Guidance to the youth irrespective of their race, colour, sect, ethnicity, or geographical background; leading the way to a positive future.

We aim to plant the seeds of Love for Allah in our students by following three simple steps:

Step 1: To Learn - learning how to read the Quran correctly.

Step 2: To Love - loving the characteristics of the Prophet Muhammed ﷺ through story-telling.

Step 3: To Live - living as good Muslims by connecting to, reflecting and implementing the Quran.

By embedding the Love for Allah, we believe we can support our young people as they take on the challenges of living as a Muslim in the 21st Century.
